Always Think Twice

Once, a fox sneaked into a farm and grabbed a prized rooster.
The farmer saw him and raised the alarm to his dogs, and they started chasing the thief. The fox, though he was holding the rooster in his mouth, was running very fast.

"Get him! Get him!" shouted the farmer to his dogs.
"No!" screamed the rooster suddenly. "Don't come near me!"
"My master was very cruel to me," explained the rooster to the fox. "Tell him to stay away from me."

The fox was delighted. "He wants you to stay away from him!" the fox shouted at the farmer, in the process releasing his hold on the rooster.

The rooster flew up into a tree and stayed there till he was rescued by his master.

Think twice before you open your mouth to speak.

I find this story to be very true in real life. I have seen friends getting manipulated by such people as well as personally encountered such people.... I call them CUNNING ASS****S.

But we can counter these ASS****S by 'Thinking twice' before doing anything. Also remember that nothing in this world is free so BEWARE of people who are SUDDENLY very NICE or EXTREMELY HELPFUL. Friendly people are alright... just beware of those VERY HELPFUL type.

For the record, I would also like to state that not all helpful people are manipulative... there are those genuinely helpful ones (very very rare nowadays) but just give a second thought before u start to trust this person.

A Wise Donkey

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided that is was not worth retrieving the donkey as the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway.

He invited his neighbours to come over and help him. They each grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realised what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement, it quietened. A few shovel loads later, the farmer looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw.

As every shovel of dirt hit his back, the donkey did something amazing. It would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, it would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off to everyone's amazement!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you...all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of a hole is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone.

We can get out of the deepest holes just by never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up!
